Mother Nature

Something Greater

The hum
of a vision, effort
woven into a work of art
dew weighting down the tiniest of tendrils
one strand on its own, only a line
easily torn
but in time and with great effort and care
each well placed line becomes something greater
when strung together holding hands
holding on through the evening
chill and winds blowing from the north, testing
the strength of so much gathered between two grass lengths
grown tall from the summer sun
now holding up this web of detailed wondrous
intentional mesmerizing
daydream-starting
a masterpiece (more…)

Cosmic Blend

And easily my breath retreats
into the shadows of dusk-driven
light as the air
feeling quietly warm with the damp cold of night soon to come
silhouettes shine sharp and true
the sliver of the most dainty tiny moon calls out
hanging low (more…)

The Water Calls

Come dip your toes erase
the perfect stillness get comfortable stay

aren’t I inviting? (more…)

Seeing Differently Challenge- 14 of 15

Let me paint for you just this once
a view twirling circling imagination
and trust where the winds carry
worries off of your shoulders and the hints
of sunlight warming your heart longer where
the softness of redwood needles fold over your head
protecting you guiding you standing watch for you
as the world turns again your breath
can slow your mind can fall quiet your heart
can stop racing and instead beat in silence
you will have time (more…)

Seeing Differently Challenge- 9 of 15

There are moments
within a day where there is time
to marvel
at the sky to acknowledge
the passing of daylight as it folds
into dusky night and no matter the place where you stop
your feet your mind your body and give
your heart the time it needs to breathe
to rest to dream about the palette of colors
only painted on clouds in the evening (more…)

Growing

It is time for you to see how wild
you really can feel
give in to the howling
within expand like the clouds
overhead hear
the applauds from the leaves catching the wind see the trees
for what they have always been
beacons to where you fit in
climb up sway in tune
begin
living at the pace of a tree
welcome home
