And easily my breath retreats
into the shadows of dusk-driven
light as the air
feeling quietly warm with the damp cold of night soon to come
silhouettes shine sharp and true
the sliver of the most dainty tiny moon calls out
hanging low
in the sky dimmed by its size
the suns last rays light the first
of the stars the last of the details
today melds together into a cosmic blend
of round softening acceptance
I feel seen and included, gladly
in the moment and I must admit
that feels quite euphoric
and I perfectly fit

What you felt, you’ve written and now we feel it, too. Beautiful poetry!
Thank you for such a lovely comment, percolatingpoetry. I am honored to hear you felt something while reading my words. It was a quietly poignant moment at the end of an interesting day.
I did and you are most welcome. It’s nice to connect!
Yes, always nice to connect!
In this gentle poem, I found this line particularly nice, Carrie: ..”melds together into a cosmic blend of round softening acceptance” Lovely.
I smiled when my fingers typed that line, Janet. Thank you for noticing it and finding the gentleness too.
