Weekly Photo Challenge: Dreamy

Trinidad State Beach, Trinidad CA

In my wildest dreams I never imagined I would live so near the ocean. I just always assumed I had to choose, mountains and trees or sea. Well, there is such a place, where the mountains and trees meet the sea, and I am living there. Wild.

    1. Thank you! It is such a magical place. The waves are so loud and the haystacks of rock make the view that much sweeter. We has so much fun here yesterday.

  1. Oh Carrie…THIS to me is California. We have this north of the Golden Gate where the redwoods meet the ocean and the ocean is so beautiful like this. LOVE THIS!

    1. Hi Laura 🙂 This reminds me of Oregon’s coast more than what I traditionally think of as California coastline. But, I am happy to change my perception after living here! This kind of beach is so special, I don’t think I will ever get over that it is a 15 min drive away!! Aside from the fact that there are so few people there with you, the southern California beaches are packed, the building free, crowd free coastline is another treasure.

  2. Oregon is a beautifully rugged place. The Rogue (?) River is one of the prettiest I have ever seen, but our time there was so limited I did not have a chance to learn all the geography.

Carrie, you have chosen well. The photo is superb and fits the title to a “T”.

    1. Thank you Beth, yes Oregon is a gorgeous state and the Rogue River is as you say, a marvel. We are in northern California about 70 miles south of the Oregon border near the coast.
I do feel like I am in a dream when we venture out to explore our new area, there are so many beautiful opportunities here.
