Surprised indeed to see
such a sight colors so bright
in the early morning light dancing
and waving back to me
floating emoting soft tender ribbons
as I stood below with my mouth opened
wide not wanting to blink
in case it was the last time I would
see such a sight such wonder
just beyond my front door
lighting up the depths
of the sky in a way
there are few words to describe
feeling the glow warming
my face seeping into my bones
my heart to every place that needed this
view this experience just now
to carry with me through
the hour the day the season
and beyond
a forever gift I will bear
cherish and easily
remember

It really was, Chris. I did very little manipulation to the images actually. Just a slight crop to get a greater look and a little contrast and shadow work. I won’t ever forget this sky! So thankful I was able to capture it and enjoy it at the same time 🙂
