Trinidad Harbor

Trinidad Harbor, Photo By: Carrie

My boys each commented on how amazing it was to see the water and sky melt into one another yesterday. We were visiting the beach for a picnic lunch just to the north of the this harbor. I have never seen so many boats anchored at the same time here.

In many ways this is how I am feeling about blogging at the moment, in the harbor at anchor. Not really ready to get back out in the seas quite yet. I am enjoying my time with my family, school starts up next week. Our summer has felt mostly wonderful and full. Not busy, just full, just right.

    1. Thanks so much for the encouragement, Robyn. It is such precious time, some days it feels more fleeting than others. I plan to ease back in, the break has felt really good.

  1. I agree with Robyn, Carrie, take your time, your family is more important than your blog. I think a few of us are feeling blog fatigue. It takes a lot of work and energy!

    1. Thanks so much, Chris. Yes, it does take effort and it is easy to say…well I love it, writing, photo editing, hearing from nice people like you but, it is time I don’t get back. I am enjoying this time away and feel great about spending so much time with my family πŸ™‚ I know when the time is right to jump back in and hopefully I will have a better sense of the balance…always looking for that.

  2. I’m so glad you enjoyed a ‘just right’ summer, Carrie. Your blog and your readers will all still be here when, or if, you decide to jump back in again.

    1. Summer vacation ends tomorrow…I am not sure how I feel about it. I have a feeling writing with that subject in mind will bring forth many words. It has been a really wonderful time. We just got back from a camping trip to Lassen National Park, wow what a beautiful and interesting place!
Thanks Janet, I appreciate those sentiments toward my possible return…I do love writing and hearing from beautiful people like you. I won’t be gone much longer I have a feeling πŸ™‚
