Seasonally prolific bursting fresh
purely blooming beauties cluster
with wonder softening anyone’s voice that draws
near all those winter thoughts a stuck heavy thick dense muck
becomes overrun with anticipation
scents of fresh air and longer days

I photographed this tree last spring, it is located in the middle of the parking lot where my son meets for gymnastics. I wondered how it would fare this year. (more…)
When we bought our house in October this tree was bare. It made sense at the time but as we have started to look over our yard we were pretty convinced it was dead. I had to talk my husband out of cutting it down actually, I am glad I was persuasive enough to have him wait until summer. (more…)
Our final week for this quarterly challenge. I can say after doing a number of these challenges that week 4 is often the most challenging for me. I don’t know what it is but I can’t make small improvements each week to a given image. Instead, I find myself searching and working toward four unique, stand-alone images. Finding that fourth image is often quite difficult. (more…)
