One Four Challenge: May Wk.4

I struggled a bit for this final edit. After looking over the image for a long while I decided to emphasize the shadow side of the Chateau this week. I felt a black and white image was most appropriate for this week. (more…)

Week 3

We are on week 3 for our challenge this month. I decided to crop my image this week and bring the focus of the image towards the sunny day and craftsmanship of the Chateau. Week 2

My week 2 edit is my first ever edit in Silver Efex Pro 2, I wanted to try to replicate what a photograph of this Chateau might look like if I found an original image from the 1930’s. If you are looking for more information on the history of this image, check my week 1 post HERE. (more…)

Week 1

This quarterly challenge hosted by Robyn at Captivate Me is on for May. This is a fun and challenging way to edit an image, get feedback on your results and engage with fellow bloggers. If you are interested in participating in the challenge please check out all the details, HERE.

My husband and I recently spent a weekend away while my parents watched our boys. One of the places we explored was Oregon Caves National Monument in Cave Junction, OR. My boys were ticked when they heard we went in a bat cave without them. (more…)

Finding that fourth image is often quite difficult. (more…)

One Four Challenge: February wk. 1,2

The two main ones are the incredible people who participate, I learn so much and really appreciate the feedback you are all so willing to give. And second, I never give myself such creative freedom when I am editing images as I do with this challenge. (more…)

Well I made it, a few days late but I am okay with that. I hope you are too. My new computer finally arrived and I was quick to get it set up. I have really missed the creative outlet of image processing and the writing that follows. It feels so good to be back at it. (more…)

I’m a little late to the party this week, sorry. I was finally able to eek out one more version of this image today from my failing laptop. My new, robust desktop arrives in a couple of days. My goal is to get it up and running in time for week 4. (more…)
