Houda Point, Camel Rock- Trinidad, CA
I am struck by the softness within the vast
expanse of my thoughts ever changing knots
exposed with the tidal shift of summer days
and endless waves of expected bliss yet I can see
there is more I need to feel and float upon
to give into and celebrate the siege (more…)
The end of a day is sometimes
a relief sometimes a celebration
of a job well done sometimesĀ an anxious step
towards something just on the horizon
sometimes the day is so good you don’t want
to ever let it go (more…)
I trust you but not the wind
it begins to play
with your mind giving you false but overwhelming hope
your arms become wild wings
and by reaching for the edge it is the beginning
an adventure
where flying is required

What becomes of these
thoughts what becomes of me
I am lost unsure questioning
even beginning to feel
weak with a roof
over me the yearning to live
eat breath sleep outside
isn’t okay with going back
into hiding my feral roots awakened (more…)
Dreams and hugs tears
and celebrations first kisses
wedding bells sunset views
disappointments regrets too
worries caring too much sitting
under that tree for
an extra long time my husbands
laugh my boys
blue eyes that feeling
in my belly when I know
it is right the roar of a river
the smell of BBQ
the rosewater scent of my grandmother
a backpack’s zipper they all scatter
but together basking in the sunlight
just below the churning mist they are humming
softly with the tides
harmonizing my wild
swift incredible life

Staring you down
Don’t get to close, the wilds
Waves rolling
Find a perch, basque
Into the view feeling
The earth is alive beneath you (more…)
