What a surprise to see daffodils pop up in my neighbor’s yard this week. I guess it is official and spring is really here, in the midst of what still feels like winter. The daylight is brighter, glad to see these flowers know more than me.
I am sorry if my talking about the rainy winter we are having is getting old. But, it is still raining, the third major storm this week. The rivers are swollen, roads are crumbling north of us and east of us is the threat of landslides. We are safe and sound, I am so thankful our home has proper drainage. (more…)
This beauty was sitting on the counter of a restaurant bathroom I was using this summer when I was visiting Portland, Oregon. I wasn’t sure if it was real at first but when I peeked into the center and saw it glowing back at me I knew I needed to find my camera in my purse. (more…)
This week has rushed by without feeling rushed. We trimmed up two of the 5 redwood clusters in our yard on Wednesday. I had no idea how much work it would be to clear the debris, wow. It was well work the work, the sunset last night was visible due to our clean up and so spectacular my son stood at the window until there was no color left. (more…)
