Smooth and wide borrowed
time so little to see it is hard to breathe
but slowly I find the courage to stand
still to allow to open to the winds
and give my lungs what they crave
moisture rich tears sprinkling my face and finally

Looking mysteriously north, over tree tops
   The magic seaside confidently big, Pacific
Leaping and curious and daring and creative
     My adventure begins
         Time to pack, I forgot how
Don't forget how to love you to shine
              All wonderful     and sleep
              Red wild          and wish
              Light stars       and care
              Just you tonight  to accept
                                and give
Others see fire and almost night and wish the mystery of their destiny would
Get lost in the magic of the view
But I am living in this blue deep wonderful night sky

Weekly Photo Challenge: Rule of Thirds

I first learned of the “rule of thirds” about a year ago, I think. It really struck me as a way to start to see photographs before I actually took them. I found the setting on my camera for the grid and I have used it ever since. Of course, I am still really green and need practice and there are moments where breaking the rules in the face of creativity make sense too. (more…)
