can not quiet the roar
of the waves pounding the shore drumming
deeply where you feel it in your chest, I want
I just drop to my knees
into the sand making myself stop
in the face of this beautiful roar

Redwoods, they are majestic silent and massive. This particular beauty lives 8 feet from the back corner of my house. Its trunk is so massive there are two 250 ft. trees growing from it. Quite a place to spend time. Allowing worries to wander up into the treetops while a silent blanket of peace replaces them. I am thankful she watches over my home, my boys, my worries. So thankful.
