Avoiding the Rush

Slowly I walk giving
my eyes time
to adjust to the monochrome
view of moisture and rocks I hear
the thunderous waters building
off shore ready within the hour
to come in with the tidal shift
everything feels
slow
as the pace should flow
bare feet
rolled up pants to my knees
deep breaths meet with
warm moist calm air
giving me time to be
with the sea and me
feeling I am not the only one
who is basking
in the break
of the rush

** Another view of my favorite beach near our home. I did not alter the colors of this image for Leanne Cole’s Monochrome Madness this week. It was a beautiful monochromatic morning spent marveling at the view and our incredible fortune to spend this day together, alone, on this beach. Please be sure and look at the gallery of images this week HERE, they are always an incredible treat.
