Fern Canyon, Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, CA
Forest whispers held in
Raindrop drips waiting
On emerald wings
For the one who looks
Deeper and hears secrets in
The rain
Locked away under the layers
Of loss of seasons
Of past storms
Wrath of decaying
Quietly she lifts
Her veil the trust
Is overwhelming the secrets
Unwrapping themselves eager
To tell to give to embrace
You the one
Who sees details
In everything
I really love the underexposure here Carrie. It’s beautiful as well as the words to go with it. 🙂
Thank you, Laura. I always enjoy hearing what you think of my images and words.
We went here for a walk through the canyon (you walk up the river through 50ft high canyon walls of ferns) for Mother’s Day. I had so much fun!
So glad you had a wonderful Mother’s Day! I love your beautiful images Carrie.
Awe! Thank you. Yes, it was a lovely day.
