Creative awakenings are rare, at least for me. I am new to expressing myself through an art medium, drawing, painting, mixed-media and now photography. But, every time I feel my mind let go and my hands and heart create I feel myself fill with blissful happiness.
I walked through this arch of trees, in the mist. The sun just peaking over the hills, the world stretching before the day begins.
I tried to capture this moment with my own eyes first. I stopped and enjoyed this for a long moment. When I raised my camera to take a photograph, most of the beauty was lost. The sunlight was all my lens could see. Everything surrounding turned dark.
I tried twice to capture what I saw. But, figured the image was lost. Between then and now, I feel transformed. Working on my image for the One Four Challenge this week I learned some new tricks and ways to bring an image to life in great thanks to some thoughtful comments left on my post. It is inspiring! The path I find myself on at the moment is one that makes me want to run, forward, wind in my hair, each stride painting new ways to see what I thought was lost.
I am so grateful for this awakening, today.
This is absolutely breathtaking. Thank you. Love, Amy
Hi Amy, thank you for your kind words. I really appreciate it.
You are so welcome, Carrie. (((HUGS))) Amy
Pretty pretty! I love Fort Bragg. I especially like that little harbor with that dumpy restaurant lol.
š We found an incredible specialty bakery and bought mini-pies for Thanksgiving, SO GOOD. We camped north of Fort Bragg, but loved the glass beach and little town. I can’t wait to go back!
What a beautiful illustration of how learning and ‘ah ah’ moments make us feel! Chris
Thank you so much, Chris. I really did have such a “mind-blown” day yesterday. This was a great way to bring it all together š
Carrie, I just stopped to really read your words. What a glorious Bright Light you truly are. May you find Magic as I do in Nature. Let us create together!!! (((HUGS))) Amy
Awe, yay! I am so happy you stopped by and took some time out of your day to read my words. That is the biggest compliment someone can give me. I do and have always found nature magical. Yes, I have no doubt I will be inspired by your words and beautiful photographs…thankful for your connection.
And I am thankful you have come into my Life, Carrie. I have come to see a pattern in my WP Life and so I share with you just so you know. Some blogs I seem to always see. Others, come and go, and then when those blogs come back into my Life, they seem to do so for a while. IF you don’t see me at your blog, know there is a reason why, and it is not because I am ignoring you. I have a huge commitment every day (minus weekends and then sometimes even then) to try to reach out to those who do come to Petals. When you comment, that is when I really SEE you. Some days I manage to get to the likes, not all days. And yes, I really have a LIFE too. LOL So welcome aboard, and let’s see where all this takes the both of us. I am so excited for YOU as you dive into your creativity. There is NO better place to be. (((HUGS))) Amy
