Blemished Beauty

Deeply Fall into the seasonal shift and easily find the striking beauty in your blemishes.

  1. Almost everything in nature has a blemish somewhere; yet, a familiar cliche’ is “perfect roses,”

    Consider this natural man’s appearance:

    2 Samuel 14:25-26
25 But in all Israel there was none to be so much praised as Absalom for his beauty: from the sole of his foot even to the crown of his head there was no blemish in him.
26 And when he polled his head, (for it was at every year’s end that he polled it: because the hair was heavy on him, therefore he polled it:) he weighed the hair of his head at two hundred shekels after the king’s weight.

What a marvel that must have been!

    1. Forgive me Beth, but I am not sure I understand you. Are you saying that the real marvel is in being perfect and/or having others notice all your perfections too?

Yes, most things in nature are full of blemishes, I learn so much from my natural world, finding the beauty in the imperfect is the greatest treasure.

      1. Very few things are literally perfect. Few if any humans may be said to be perfect, but the one illustration shows there may be a few. I am speaking physically (outside), but of course you and I may feel our mates are perfect. ❤

  2. A perfect match between photograph and written word; a thought provoking, poetic sentence. “Deeply Fall into the seasonal shift ” resonated in my soul. Beautiful.

    1. Thank you so much for taking time to comment, Laurie. I really appreciate hearing from you and yes, these leaves are dripping with color. I just love them.

Please take a moment, comments encouraged.
